I'm Alex. I call a little cove on the California coast my home, but I’ve been found riding across the Mongolian steppe on a trusty pony, sipping tea in a Chengdu garden, digging my toes in the sand on a Balinese beach, and exploring the mountains and oceans near and far. I love sing-alongs, creme brulee, headstands, turquoise, succulents, going fast (mostly downhill), and juicy pomelos.
I experience the world in vibrant colors, streams of light, and shifting angles, finding beauty in the every day. A turn of the head, a look in the eye, and an understanding of a moment shared keep me intrigued about the world around me. I seek out, slow down, and make time for genuine interactions, documenting people and the landscapes in which they build their lives. Photography provides me with the means to translate and share stories from my own backyard to the remote corners of the world, finding the common threads that connect us all and inspire the human spirit.
If you have any questions about me and my photography, or availability and rates, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by.
